Too little, and your people will likely become bored and disinterested. Too much, and you run the risk of <a class=\"wl-entity-page-link\"  href=\"https:\/\/demo.wordlift.it\/io\/vocabulary\/burnout\/\" data-id=\"http:\/\/data.wordlift.io\/wl01944\/entity\/burnout;http:\/\/dbpedia.org\/resource\/Burnout_(psychology);http:\/\/de.dbpedia.org\/resource\/Burnout-Syndrom;http:\/\/no.dbpedia.org\/resource\/Utbrenthet;http:\/\/sl.dbpedia.org\/resource\/Izgorelost;http:\/\/id.dbpedia.org\/resource\/Burn_out;http:\/\/en.dbpedia.org\/resource\/Burnout_(psychology);http:\/\/it.dbpedia.org\/resource\/Sindrome_da_burnout;http:\/\/pl.dbpedia.org\/resource\/Wypalenie_zawodowe;http:\/\/ro.dbpedia.org\/resource\/Sindromul_burnout;http:\/\/nl.dbpedia.org\/resource\/Burn-out\" >burnout<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>And that seems to be exactly the case here in Ireland, as\u00a0new\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/info.hrlocker.com\/the-hrlocker-job-burnout-report\">HRLocker survey<\/a>\u00a0of 1,000 people in full-time employment has\u00a0revealed that over half (52%) are experiencing burnout, with those working\u00a0for charities and not-for-profits reporting much higher incidences\u00a0of 68%.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"what-is-job-burnout\">What is Job Burnout?<\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>A growing concern across the globe, in 2020 the World Health Organisation (WHO) classified\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrlocker.com\/features\/remote-working\/more-than-half-of-irish-workers-report-job-burnout\/\">job burnout<\/a>\u00a0as a medical condition, describing it as \u201ca syndrome conceptualised as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed\u2026Burn-out refers specifically to phenomena in the occupational context and should not be applied to describe experiences in other areas of life.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>In short, while a certain amount of work-place\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hrlocker.com\/features\/remote-working\/employee-burnout\/\">stress can positively impact an employee\u2019s performance and satisfaction levels<\/a>, prolonged, unmanageable levels of stress can lead to long-term physical and mental health issues.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>An increased chest compression fraction is independently predictive of better survival in patients who experience a prehospital ventricular fibrillation\/tachycardia cardiac arrest.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Because we all deal with stress differently, job burnout can manifest in different ways. However, some of the more common signs of the condition include:\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>\u2013 Feeling exhausted or depleted of energy<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\u2013 Feeling mentally and emotionally removed from your job<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\u2013 Feeling negative, cynical, or disillusioned about your job<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\u2013 Reduced satisfactions from your achievements<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\u2013 Reduced professional efficacy<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\u2013 Difficulty concentrating<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li>\u2013 Unexplained physical ailments such as headaches and stomach pains<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Many of these symptoms can be related to depression and other underlying illnesses. As such, it is always advised that individuals speak to a doctor or medical health provider if they\u2019re experiencing one or more of them.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>With the shift to hybrid working, the distinction between work time and personal time is likely to remain an issue for the foreseeable future, as is employee anxiety over office work and health and safety.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Now, more than ever, organisations must take effective measures to support their employees.
